SD series steel doors
Kraft honeycomb core was firstly used in wings of aircrafts during the second world war due to its light weight. The highest strength-to-weight ratio compared to other core options gives honeycomb cored doors the structural integrity but yet reduced door weight.
The kraft honeycomb material is firstly sanded to the proper thickness and then expanded to 1” cell structure. The core is bonded to the door panels by unique adhesive that resists high temperature at the paint curing process. A true bond is further ensured by pressing the door and honeycomb assembly for a carefully selected period. |
